SDG Through Your Eyes
As part of the IUS SDG WEEK "Think Globally, Act Locally", on Friday, December 8, 2023, an exhibition of the best student photos from the photo contest: "SDG Through Your Eyes" was held at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS).
The exhibition was organized and coordinated by Assistant Professor Roman Sulejmanpašić, from the Visual Arts and Visual Communications Design (VACD) study program, who is also a member of the IUS SDG Executive Committee. The Committee consisting of respected professors from the VACD program, Assistant Professor Sulejmanpašić, Assistant Professor Branko Vekić and Assistant Professor Emir Hambo, evaluated the best photos of the following IUS students: Nejla Mustajbegović, Emina Okerić and Edi Palaska.
The intention of the exhibition was to raise awareness among young people and encourage social responsibility towards the preservation of the environment and sustainable development in general. Exploring various topics, perspectives and motives related to their young experience, the students presented their vision of Bosnia and Herzegovina through their photographs and proved that they are aware of their reality and ready and mature actors of future changes.
"With their extraordinary and inspiring photos, young people have shown through the art of photography that they are the potential, strength and future of our community. They just need to be encouraged and supported. We hope that in the future we will have more opportunities for creative and artistic expression of our students, on various topics of sustainability. We want to thank all the students who took part in this noble action", said Assistant Professor Sulejmanpašić.
The exhibition of the best photos will remain on display in the IUS Gallery until the end of December 2023.
