Course Objectives ECON404 is upper level course in international monetary system. This course develops students' theoretical and practical knowledge about International Monetary Regimes and applies it in attempt to gain an understanding of recent evevents in the international system and analyze the international and the domestic political contexts of International Monetary Regimes political.

Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Understand history of monetary systems and of the current state of International Monetary System
  2. Understand its institutions as well as practical knowledge regarding the methodologies and techniques for the determination of the Exchange Rates
  3. Understand differences between the different International Monetary Regimes and to describe their main principles and political institution.
  4. Understand the impact of Monetary Regimes on the international political relation.
  5. Analyze the influence that monetary issues exert on financial crises.
  6. Identify the sources of different global economic crisis.
