VACD Hosts Inspiring Guest Lecture on Personal Branding and Visual Storytelling
On Friday, April 10, 2026, the IUS Visual Arts and Visual Communications Design (VACD) study program organized an inspiring guest lecture within the course VA438 Introduction to Visual Storytelling, taught by Assistant Professor Nejira Mulahmetović, MA, bringing valuable international insight to the classroom.
The guest lecture, titled Personal Brand: How to Sell Yourself and Your Work, was delivered by Luz Mar García Pedroza from CIFP Cruz de Piedra, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain. The session was held as part of the Visual Storytelling class and offered students an engaging perspective on the importance of personal branding in creative industries.
During her lecture, Luz Mar García Pedroza encouraged students to think more critically about how they present themselves and their work in an increasingly competitive and visually driven world. Through a thoughtful and inspiring approach, she introduced a range of fresh ideas and practical tools that can help young creatives shape their professional identity and communicate their strengths more effectively.
