"Notes of the Merry Philosopher" Exhibition by Amela Hadžimejlić at IUS
On May 12, 2022 an exhibition by a renowned artist and Professor Dr. Amela Hadžimejlić titled "Notes of the Merry Philosopher" was officially opened at the Art gallery of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). Welcoming speech was given by Dr. Meliha Teparić, Full Professor at the Department of Visual Arts and Communication Design (VACD) at IUS who is also the custos of the exhibition. The exhibition links together literature, philosophy and visual art.
Professor Dr. Amela Hadžimejlić is one of the most productive artists with an expertise in graphic art for print making. The exhibition is based on the text from the book "Notes of the Merry Philosopher" by Predrag Finci and is formed as a historical circle of miniatures that portray doctrines of philosophers and other scholars. The audience was also addressed by the Assistant Professor Dr. Nadira Puškar- Mustafić who stated that art is not only pleasant for the eyes but also educates and challenges us to think about the achievements that scholars had throughout their lives.
Artworks will be exhibited at the IUS Art Gallery from May 12-26, 2022. Everyone is cordially invited to visit.
