Inspiring Guest Lecture and Design Battle with Sanjin Halilović

Fourth-year students of the IUS Visual Arts and Visual Communications Design (VACD) program had the honor of hosting Mr. Sanjin Halilović as a guest lecturer in the VA415 Design Studio 1 course, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Emir Hambo. Mr. Halilović, a seasoned professional with over 15 years of expertise in design and visual communications and currently serving as a Senior Brand Designer at the Ministry of Programming, brought invaluable industry insights to the classroom.

During his lecture, Mr. Halilović shared his extensive knowledge of the creative process, from crafting compelling visual identities to navigating client communication and ensuring seamless project execution. His practical advice and professional experiences provided students with a deeper understanding of real-world challenges and opportunities in the design field.

The session culminated in an exciting design battle, where students showcased their innovative redesign concepts for a local company. This interactive exercise not only highlighted their creative potential but also encouraged them to think critically about design solutions, incorporating feedback from an industry expert.
